ONA is a nonprofit 501(c) 4 civic organization established in 1978. We are governed by a Board of Directors who serve 3-year terms and are appointed by the ONA Nominating Committee. Highlights of activities of a 501 (c) 4 organization include: informing the public on controversial subjects and taking action by way of grassroots lobbying related to advocacy for its purpose/mission. The organization may participate in political campaigns and elections as long as their primary activity is the promotion of social welfare related to the organization’s purpose.
