ONA is a nonprofit 501(c) 4 civic organization established in 1978. We are governed by a Board of Directors who serve 3-year terms and are appointed by the ONA Nominating Committee. Highlights of activities of a 501 (c) 4 organization include: informing the public on controversial subjects and taking action by way of grassroots lobbying related to advocacy for its purpose/mission. The organization may participate in political campaigns and elections as long as their primary activity is the promotion of social welfare related to the organization’s purpose and non-partisan in nature. The organization may directly or indirectly support or oppose a candidate for public office. ONA membership supports civic engagement of residents and advocacy for Old Naples and may not be used for commercial solicitation or political campaigning.
