ONA strives to maintain Naples Airport as a municipal airport compatible with and sensitive to the greater Naples community.
The Committee monitors Naples Airport Authority meetings and activity, keeps informed on FAA-related matters, works with the airport executives to mitigate air traffic noise and safety risks, and interacts with City Council and the Airport Authority to advance the interests of the Old Naples neighborhood.

Monitoring NAA and NCC meetings:
The Naples Airport Authority oversees the airport, and the Noise Compatibility advises it about mitigating airplane noise. Attendance at their meetings is essential to understand how the airport will impact Old Naples in the future, and to informing our members regarding how to advise the NAA regarding our concerns in a productive way. Naples Airport Master Plan:
The Naples Airport Authority Board of commissioners and staff began the process to prepare a new comprehensive Airport Master Plan December of 2017 and are scheduled to complete the plan by November of 2019. During the process the airport will sponsor 4 Community Outreach workshops in order to provide the community with status but also to garner input and hear concerns. The last update of the Airport Master Plan for APF was completed in 1997.
The primary goal of the Master Plan study is to create a 20-year development program to maintain a safe, efficient and environmentally friendly airport facility for the Naples community. Status of the Master Plan can be viewed online at the Naples Airport website Click Here.
Naples Airport Noise Study 14 CFR Part 150:
What is a part 150?
The Federal Aviation Regulation Part 150 is a voluntary noise exposure and land study that Airports undertake to address noise and land use compatibility. The study has 2 primary parts noise exposure map generation (NEM) and Noise Compatibility program (NCP). These studies were last completed for APF in 2010 (NEMs) and 1997 (NCP).
What will the study include?
The study will identify existing and future flight corridors, develop aircraft NEM for current and future conditions, evaluate aircraft control procedures that could be implemented to reduce noise exposure over residential areas and ultimately produce an updated NCP plan document representing input of all stakeholders having been considered. Community involvement is critical throughout the study process.
Information pertaining to Community involvement Can be viewed on the FAA website by entering search- 14 CFR Part 150 and FAA Community involvement manual
